Live and Travelling - photo

2010

The Late Shift, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich, February 2010

“Live and site specific, the work is always travelling: it is fleeting and temporal. I explore the lack of a set studio space in Live Art during three improvised performances. I respond to the contents of a suitcase and combine these with the unique environment and atmosphere of each work space. My current practice employs improvised performance as a means to explore creativity and spontaneity with the aim of exploring the unconscious relationship between artist and spectator. The process of alchemy is introduced as I explore the four processes of making gold. Stripping myself bare of preconceived intentions, I submerge myself into the unknown”.
